Combeferre: Well, for God knows what reason, Cilla has decided that there are now enough drawings and photos of me out there to warrant me getting my own gallery. This, I presume, is a Good Thing. Here, she wants to put all photographs of me, or artistic renditions, but she refuses to put my moth drawing here, for some bizarre reason. Oh, and she wanted me to tell you that she is open to anyone who wants to contribute a photo or drawing of moi. So, go ahead, but it had better be a flattering picture.
A photo of the incomparable Graham Rowat as myself (in "One Day More"). Cilla loves this guy (but then, she loves almost everybody who's ever played me...). Maybe because she had a lengthy discussion with him at the Tampa stage door...
Of course, the ever popular photo of a certain David McDonald (who Cilla gushes over, incidentally) as me. This picture has been used in about five different places on this website, I'm certain of it.
Weeeeeell...Cilla simply loves to draw what she considers to be "cutesy" representations of Les Amis, so...here's mine. My eyes are so big, they make me look like Marius with glasses. Ooh, scary, non?
Well, this is without a doubt the single most disturbing drawing I've ever seen Cilla draw. It's a picture of me, I suppose after being mugged or something. Kinda scary, when you look at it from my perspective...
This is the portrait (in color, wonder of wonders!) that Cilla made of me, and is hanging in my front hall, when one first enters my room. I suppose it's fairly accurate...
I must say, I am rather flattered. This is just a little cartoon Cilla sketched of me in History, when she should have been listening to the teacher expound on absolute monarchies of Europe. I applaud her for her apathy, for once.
Forgive me, mes amis, I have no better title for this...It's one of Cilla's earliest renditions of me, drawn on the reverse side of a worksheet (which explains the writing that showed through when we scanned it in). Also drawn in history, interestingly enough.
This is a photograph, taken with my camera, that was borrowed from my photo album. It was taken by that evil Feuilly when I was unsuspecting. The fiend!
This is a really sweet cartoon of me by the lovely Salatrel. Cilla likes this; she adopted me...
Me When I First Get Up in the Morning
Fairly descriptive title. Bizarrely enough, I am a true "morning person"...according to the Omnipotent Author, I'm so danged perfect sometimes, I make her want to barf. *laughs evilly*
I actually approve of this drawing...hmmm...This is based on the scene in the musical (particularly M. Rowat's interpretation in the 3NT), after "Little People", when I try to stop the others from shooting Javert down like a dog. Not that he didn't deserve it, we just didn't need the excess bloodshed.
The supposed "Combeferre Look-a-like Photograph". This is a photo of a young Mathew Brady that Cilla found to have an uncanny resemblance to her "image" of me. Whatever. I guess it bears a little similarity...I suppose I should feel flattered. He was, after all, a famous photographer...:-)
Aii. This picture makes me blush. I am no saint...nor do I make it a habit of mine to go around kissing my friends. On the forehead or otherwise. Particularly Enjolras. Who is going to raise hell when he sees this. If he sees this...
Geng drew this, using the computer...I am flattered that there are people out there besides the crazy Cillabub who like me. And Cilla says Geng really likes me. *blush*
Well, I suppose I can't say this distresses me, since this is really how it happened...This is a pretty accurate picture of my death scene.
Me Standing Around in the Rain For No Apparent Reason
Hm. That's a pretty accurate title. Done on the back of a worksheet, one of the worksheets where you can see some of the words from the other side.
Start out for my room again...
